Outside (Cyra Morgan)

This painting is based on an article in CreatureMag about the up and coming singer/songwriter Cyra Morgan. The illustration is based most prominently on one of her songs in particular; "Outside".

I enjoyed the painting, although I only had four days to do it from scratch. I would have liked to have spent a little more time on some aspects of it, particularly the folds in the dress, but that's nothing new.

I tried to capture a sense of atmosphere that not only represented the song, but her work in general, as oppose to focusing on capturing a likeness of Cyra herself...
