Book illustration for the Aeneid

This was one of those magically rare moments in the illustration world. I was contacted randomly by a German publishers who wanted to use my painting, Dido, in their book on Virgil's Aeneid . I agreed. It was all made possible by Rudolf Hennebohl at Ovid-Verlag publishing, and it was nice to see the painting in print. I did receive a copy of the book in the post, but unfortunately it is all in German, so I can only admire the diverse artwork within. Incidentally, the cover illustration was painted by the late Angus McBride.
