Sacre Beer label Part I...process

I was recently commissioned to do the artwork for a micro brewery in Wolverhampton. The theme of the beer was 'Deep Winter', and I pretty much had complete creative freedom. What I didn't have was a lot of time to get it done, unfortunately. I decided to render it in graphite, so as to accentuate the stark nature of winter. Not that it matters an arse to the beer, but I gave the concept a mythic edge for my own amusement/interest. The two crows are based on the birds of the Nordic god Odin. They are Hugin and Munin, which means 'thought' and 'desire' respectively. I decided late in the day to give the image just the faintest hint of colour in the eyes, which seems a good counterpoint to the grey of the graphite.
